Beaver scouts are the youngest section of the scouting family and are aged between 6 to 8 years old.
Beavers do lots of activities based around:
Making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

Out of all these rather broad categories there are a large range of badges that the beavers can earn and take pride in having them displayed on their uniform.
Beavers are the very start of a journey that can last a life-time we have members at the group that have come through the beaver section here and are now still here as leaders within the group.

If you are interested in joining beavers as a leader or a helper, or have a child that is interested in joining beavers

please feel free to contact us viaenquiries@1stshortheathscouts.org.uk.

The beaver programme is constantly evolving and adapting with the needs of the generation, to keep our environment a happy, safe and friendly place to be.
